From The Professional Bodies, Associations, and Institutes for Practitioners in the Project Management Industry
ASSOCIATION FOR PROJECT MANAGEMENT (APM)
APM expects all professionals to commit to learning that meets the minimum annual requirements. Each individual must keep a CPD log, which the APM will audit CPD at their discretion. ‘Registered Project Professional’ (RPP) status will not be maintained, if an individual fails to submit a completed CPD record for audit. If you're an individual member or Chartered Project Professional, you will need to complete 35 hours CPD within a 12-month period from your start date.
THE PROJECT MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE (PMI)
Maintaining professional competence through CPD is a key element for PMI members. If CPD requirements are not met, a Statement of Professional Standing (SPS) cannot be issued. The PMI's SPS is evidence that individual retail investment advisers have met the relevant professional standards set out by the FCA. The PMI stipulates annual CPD requirements that are required to be undertaken. PMI runs a series of seminars and conferences that are likely to be of relevance for those undertaking CPD for PMI AAP and/or RDR purposes. Maximum total value of 10 hours CPD per year.
The Institute of CPD
As a pan-industry organisation, The Institute of CPD is open to professionals across all fields, and a home to those dedicated to demonstrating professional excellence. Depending on their membership level, a member of the Institute will commit to 10 or 30 hours of CPD per year.
